Life’s Journey

Pearley Flournoy Etienne was born in Mineola Texas on June 14, 1948. She was the second of six children born to the late Catherine Flournoy and Earnest Flournoy Sr. She attended Mineola High school, and later studied at Jarvis Christian College.

After her journey to Houston, Texas Pearley worked at Daniel’s Dairy Mart where she first met Adam of Westlake Louisiana and the two fell madly in love. Later Pearley was hired on the spot to work in the cafeteria at The Center Pavilion Hospital. On February 6, 1969, God blessed the union of Pearley and Adam Etienne Jr and from their marriage, they had 2 children, Dyron and Deandra. After working years as a Prudential Insurance Representative Pearley retired and spent time indulging in her favorite hobbies, cooking and watching sports. Aside from her hobbies, she loved spending time with family. Pearley was the light of her family and everyone loved and gravitated to her.

Pearley leaves to mourn her passing a loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Adam Etienne Jr; children: Dyron Etienne (Debbie), DeAndra Etienne; four grandchildren: Dreviss Etienne, Jaliyah Etienne, Destiny Baker and Devin Baker; Sisters: Alice Russell and Joyce Gibson; Brother: Earnest Flournoy Jr., Step-sister: Marilyn Clark, God Daughter: LaMeka Allison, brother n laws, sister in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and lifelong friends.

Preceded in death are her parents Earnest Flournoy Sr. and Catherine Clark, stepfather Hermee Clark, and brothers Larry and Hershel Flournoy.
