Life’s Journey

Oscar Boleware Junior was born on August 12, 1949, in Houston TX to Oscar and Vertis Boleware.  He was the second of nine children in that union.  He graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School then attended Texas Southern University to further his education.  He supported his education by being employed at Weingarten Grocery Store in High School and College.

During his time period in college Oscar Jr. married Pamela Thompson, his loving wife, and accepted baby Derran Jr. Towers as his own son.  He later began his career as a truck driver at Angus Warehouse. After retiring from Angus Warehouse, Oscar Jr. began to be self-employed at Eckerd Drugs Warehouse, unloading trucks.

Oscar Jr. loved working on cars and helping people.  He was known for his kindness, humility, giving spirit, and generosity.  His AKA was a Sharp Dresser.  His nickname was Toy and some people called him OJ.  OJ became an ordained Deacon at New Faith Church under the leadership of Pastor Theadis Durden Sr..   After a few years at New Faith, he changed his fellowship to The House of Prayer Church under the leadership Pastor Johnny L. Boleware.

Oscar Jr. is preceded in death by his beloved parents.  He leaves to cherish his memory to his loving wife Pamela Boleware.  He is survived by his stepson Derran Sr. and Baby Derran Jr. (grandson).  He also leaves behind eight siblings.  Joyce Marie Boleware, Levester Boleware Palmer, Gloria Grace (KC Grace), Willie Lee Boleware, Johnny L. Boleware (jeanette), Arbarie Boleware (Sandra), Richard Boleware, John Kennedy Boleware (Melinda) and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and an uncle.
