Life’s Journey

Oneida Ann Bacon-Jones, 80, passed away 30 December 2023 at Memorial Herman Hospital in Humble, Texas after several months of illness.

Oneida was born on July 23, 1943 in Linden, Texas to the late Cephas and Bessie Lou Bacon. Oneida lived a private low-profile life. She also knew and accepted Christ as her almighty savior. Although her life was private, she provided a helping hand and shelter to a host of people. Oneida will always be remembered for her no-nonsense approach to life challenge. In other words, she would advise you to face obstacles with optimism, persevere and never give in to what may seem impossible to accomplish.

Oneida was precise in her communication and was always willing to share with others what she had learned from her life journey. I believe her motto would be “No goal is too difficult to achieve if you stay true to yourself and what you believe.” She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, and a dear friend to so many others. As she completes her life on this earth, her memories will live on.
