She lived in Galveston, Texas for many years before moving back to Houston, Texas. Retiring from Memorial Hermann Hospital. She leaves behind 7 children. Pattie Bernard Childs of Dallas, Texas, Albert Bernard (Minnie) of Texas City, Texas, Pauline Bernard of Texas City, Madilyn Bernard Risper (Paul) of Houston, Texas, Paul Bernard (Barbara) LaMarque, Texas. Walter Bernard (Wanda) of Missouri City, Texas, Procter Bernard of Seattle, Washington. 19 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
