Life’s Journey
Michael Lance Turner was born to Ina C. Howse and Allen S. Turner Sr. on September 4, 1955, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He gained his wings on November 1, 2024. He was a member of Faith International Church/Overcomers Christian Fellowship in Houston, TX.
Michael received his primary and secondary education in Philadelphia and later went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1974 to 1976. Afterward, he created a strong background in collections and retired in 2019.
Michael had two sons, Lance and Malik Turner; two daughters, Aiyesha Turner-Whitley and Kalimah Turner; two bonus sons, Quivon Terry and Juanell Goodwin; and two bonus daughters, Racquel Cobbin and Raytoria Koleosho.
He loved to spend time with family and friends. He loved listening to his R&B and Soul radio stations from Philadelphia and Houston, playing cards, dominoes, or pool. He was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan and Houston Astros supporter.
Michael is preceded in death by his wife Janet Duckworth-Turner, mother Ina Turner, and older brother Allen Turner Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Allen Turner Sr.; his bonus mother, Julia Turner; his children, Lance, Quivon, Aiyesha, Malik, Juanell, Racquel, Raytoria, and Kalimah; a plethora of grandkids and great-grandkids; as well as loving and supportive family and friends.
