Life’s Journey
Mary Louise Ingram was born on January 29, 1949, in Poplarville, Mississippi, to Walter Burby
and Sylvia Graham. Mary attended public school in Poplarville and accepted Christ at an early
age. She was a devoted daughter, a cherished sister, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-
grandmother, as well as a dear friend to many. She had a gift for making people feel welcome
and loved.
In 1967, she married Leroy Ingram, and together they were blessed with four children: Deidra
Latrice, Donovan Fitzgerald, Lamondra Meshell, Michael Tyrone. She raised Byron Panaze as
her own son.
A talented hairstylist, Mary owned and operated her own salon for many years. She had a heart
of gold and a deep love for people, always extending kindness to those in need. She was a pillar
in her community, known for her generosity, including feeding the hungry whenever she could.
On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, Mary departed this life peacefully and was welcomed home by
her parents and her son, Donovan Ingram.
She leaves to cherish her memory her four children: Deidra Ingram, Lamondra Houston (Haston
Riley Jr.), Michael Ingram (Nicole), and Byron Ingram, along with her grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, sisters: Dorothy Cook (James) of Hattiesburg, MS, Regina Hunter (TX), brothers:
Mickey McGlotten (DeRidder, La), Robert Burby (Newton, TX), Benny Graham, Joseph
Graham (Hattiesburg, MS), Robbie Allen (Denville, Illinois) and a host of nieces, nephews, and
other beloved family members.
Mary’s love, kindness, and unwavering spirit will forever be remembered by those whose lives
she touched.
