Life’s Journey
Larler York, born on July 24, 1953, transitioned into eternal rest on December 25, 2023. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Larler lived life full of love, joy, happiness, and unwavering faith.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Shalandra York and Niketha York, Kareem Obryant, her loving grandchildren Eternity York, Julian York, Dante Palmer, Jeravion Palmer, Godsman York, Jeremiah York, Destiny York, Zachariah York, Elijah York, and Kasin York. Larler leaves behind her cherished siblings, Alice York, Tim York, Clarence York, and Allen York. Stella Woodard, Shantell Bush, Barbara Brazil Cherry York Emmit York. Goddaughter’s Christina Burks, Keshia Banks, and many more who loved her dearly.
Larler was predeceased by her loving parents, Alice Pilate and Allen York, her dear brother James York, and her beloved grandson, Dezmond York.
Larler was a devoted attendee at Same Like Faith Family Christian Center Church. Her faith was a significant part of her life, and she often reminded us to trust in the Lord, stay strong, and live life to the fullest. She cared deeply about helping those in need, and her dedication to her family was unparalleled.
With a warm and happy-go-lucky personality, Larler was known for bringing joy and laughter into any room. She was a connoisseur of ‘What a Burger’, an avid reader of The Bible, and a fan of Trust in the Lord music. She enjoyed watching Kojak, old western movies, and loved spending time with her family.
Larler found joy in simple pleasures like drawing and walking. She was a dominoes enthusiast and relished time spent playing games with her loved ones. Burgundy was her favorite color, a testament of her vibrant and cheery personality.
Larler’s greatest legacy will always be the love and wisdom she instilled in her family. Her lessons on how to pray to God for any and everything will remain a pillar of strength for her loved ones and serve as a roadmap as they navigate life without her physical presence.
Larler York will forever be remembered as a beacon of faith, love, and unwavering strength. Her life may have ended, but her spirit, teachings, and love continue to live within all those she touched.
