Life’s Journey

James Richard Hurd was born March 12, 1941, to Belle Leslie Ponder and Joe Walter Hurd in Houston Texas. He leaves to cherish his memories of 4 daughters and 3 sons: Jacqueline Coleman, Latricia Tate, Angela Calhoun, Pauline Bennings, James R Hurd JR (wife Tracey Hurd), Christopher Spooner (wife Asia Spooner), Michael Wilkerson (wife Cynthia Wilkerson). From these came a host of grand and great-grandchildren. Also 3 sisters Gloria Jean (husband Elton), Dorothy Mae, Julia Ann, 2 brothers Earnest Hurd (wife Laura) Albert Hurd.

James is preceded in death by his wife Ruby J Hurd, grandson Robert Hurd, 2 brothers R.L Hurd, Joseph Hurd, mom Belle Leslie Ponder, and father Joe Walter Hurd.
