Continuing The Celebration For

Mr. Henry Lee Davis Sr., peacefully transitioned from Grace to Glory on Thursday, June 15,
2023.
He was born November 18th, 1955, in Corrigan, Texas (Polk County) to the late Roy Leon Davis
and Henrietta Wilson. He was a long-time resident of Houston/Cypress Texas and a 1974
graduate of Evan E. Worthing High School. Immediately after graduation, he enlisted in the U.S.
Marine Corps. During his stint in the Marines, he received a National Defense Service Medal,
Good Conduct Medal (1 st Award), Armed Forces Expeditious Medal, along with a Rifle
Sharpshooter Badge.
He worked for over 30 years as a commercial truck driver for various national trucking
companies. However, he always found time to indulge in his childhood passion which was
playing baseball.
Henry was preceded in death by his daughter Tanyanita Danielle Jones, father Roy Davis and
mother Henrietta Wilson.
Left in God’s care to cherish his love and memories and fulfill his legacy are his children: Kizzy
Davis-Petteway (Barry), Henesha Sheree Davis (Carnelle), Henry Davis Jr., Thomas Davis,
bonus-father: Monroe Wilson; Brothers: Roy Davis and Ronald Smith; sisters: Sherelyn Johnson,
Deborah Gibbs, Gloria Smith, Lashonda Dixon; 10 grandchildren and a host of loving nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends.
