Life’s Journey

On December 14, 1934, a daughter was born to Ruby Lee and James Griffin in Honey Island, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Griffin named their baby girl Dorothy Lee. Dorothy grew up in Houston Texas, attending Phyllis Wheatley High School. Dorothy was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. She met and married Lonzell Jones, from that union a baby girl was born (Bobbie). Dorothy retired from Weed Eater Company of Houston TX.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Ruby and James Griffin, husband Frank. She leaves behind to cherish her memories Daughter Bobbie Oaks, Grandson Brion Oaks (Yvonne), Granddaughters Lukesius (Kei) Reed and Shirlanda Jones. Five great grandchildren Xavier Reed, Travell Jones, Traneece Jones, Eric D. Oaks, Olivia Oaks, and a host of close family friends.
