Life’s Journey

Donna Marie Semien was born on May 26, 1946 in Opelousas, Louisiana to Vincent and Beatrice Semien. She attended J.S. Clark
High School where she graduated. Shortly after graduating, she relocated to Rosenburg, Texas where she met Sherman Bolden.
Donna and Sherman dated periodically for an extended period before getting married in 1979. Between this couple one daughter,
Yolanda Yvette Miller-Fillmore; three sons, Joseph Randall Semien, Sherman Dean Miller, and Terrence Ledale Ford.

Donna’s work life career was spent primarily in the Texas Medical Center and allied areas in support of administration and professional staff.

Donna is preceded in death by both parents, Vincent and Beatrice Semien and her beloved daughter, Yolanda Yvette Miller-Fillmore;
brothers, Manuel, Harry, Harold, Paul Roland, Augustus, Paul Bernard, John; sisters, Elsie Lux, Rose Kyles, Laura Mae Philips,
Della Mae Bolden, and Marie Carter.

She leaves behind her dedicated and loving husband, Sherman Bolden; three sons, Joseph Randall Semien, Sherman Dean Miller, and Terrence Ledale Ford; four grandchildren, Dayon K. Fillmore, Darwin L. Prater, Daejon L. Ford, Damion Y. Ford; two sisters, Sylvia Semien, Joan Semien; two brothers, Gerald Patrick Semien, Sr. (Chantel Johnson), Vincent Semien (Mercedes Semien); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
