Life’s Journey

Carol Jean Harper Bonner was born in Mobile, Alabama to the union of Reginald Leon and Dorothy Mae Harper on November 21, 1945. With Reginald serving in the United States Air Force, Carol was given the opportunity to travel abroad extensively. By way of marriage, Carol made Corpus Christ, Texas her home until moving to Fresno, Texas to be with her children.

Carol graduated from Dreux American High School in Dreux, France. She received her certification in Vocational Business from Del Mar College in 1969. She was employed by and retired from American Electric Power Company after 35 dedicated years. She was an avid and talented quilter and she had a gift for combining bold and beautiful colors. Carol loved making quilts for her family and friends and she never hesitated to assist her fellow Quilters.

Carol exchanged this life for Eternal rest on May 2, 2023. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Father and sister Sherian Harper Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted children Sherian Jeanine Townsend and Kevin Bonner (Laura) both of Fresno, Texas; Grand children Shalin Townsend (Partner Aaron) of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Sherise Townsend (Partner Gabriel) of Luling, Louisiana, Baylee and Kendal Bonner of Fresno, Texas; Nephews Thomas Figures (Tamekka) of Miami, Florida and Marcus Williams (Kymberle) of Spanish Fort, Alabama; Great-grandchild Brielle Townsend Evans; Great nephews Nicholas Figures and Kenneth Williams; Great nieces Kyli Figures and Kaydence Williams; Soul Sister Sandra Glen of Corpus Christi Texas and a host of relatives and friends.
