Life’s Journey

From labor to reward, on Tuesday afternoon October 15, 2024, at 12:20PM, the Angels came and plucked another flower from the gardens Brother Willie Jackson.

On January 16, 1939, A beautiful Baby boy was born to the parentage of the late Sidney Jackson and Theola Craft Jackson, Willie came from a very talented singing family of 15. Willie was employed with Houston Corrugated Box Company for many many years. He retired in 2010. Willie was a member of Holy Bible Baptist Church under the late Pastor Kernist Ardoin. Willie was very faithful in the male chorus. In 2022 he became a member of Living Faith Bible Church, under the leadership of Pastor John F. Johnson. He didn’t have the opportunity to serve in the church because of his illness. Willie loved to sing every time he was asked to sing, he never hesitated. Willie sang with the Starlistic Harmonizer and The Saint Matthew Singers. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Theola Jackson, Brothers: Benny Jacson, Jessie Ray Jackson and Mertibell Bridge, a son Melvin Jackson, a bonus son Ronald Jackson.
Willie met Kathleen in 1982 and married her on September 06, 1986, one daughter Marketa Jackson was born to that union.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Kathleen LaFleur Jackson, six children, three daughters Marketa( Marvin) Jackson, Humble, TX, Cathy Jackson, Chicago, Il, Lisa Jackson, Houston, TX Three sons Christopher Jackson, his bonus children, Shanetta (James) Burke of Rosharon, TX and Kevin (Gladys) LaFleur of Houston, TX.

His precious Grandchildren are:
Kennedy Jackson, Kensley Jackson, Wil Jackson Walton, Camille Jackson, Candid Jackson Walton, Eric Skrezyna, Elizabeth Jackson, Alexis Jackson and also his precious great grandchildren.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories: one brother Sidney Jackson Sr of Tyler town Mississippi and two sisters in law. Catherine White and Carolyn-Audris LaFleur and one brother-in-law Richard Jackson, all of Houston, TX. He also leaves to cherish his memories: a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephew, relatives and friends.
