Life’s Journey

On the glorious day of August 27, 2010, a handsome baby boy was born to the late Justin Jamar Hardeway Sr. and Christine Nicole Davis, in Houston, TX. They named him Justin Jamar Hardeway Jr., which he was affectionately called “JJ” and to some others as “Lil Justo”. He was partially raised in Houston, TX where he began grade school and then later moved to Rosharon, TX where he finished his grade school years at Frontier Elementary School in Angleton, TX. JJ continued his education at Angleton Junior High School until his untimely death.  Justin “JJ” was a good kid with the most loving and charming personality. He had the most beautiful smile to melt any heart. He was a quiet kid but when he would speak, he spoke with volume like a young man. He had a big heart and was a protector of many, especially his mother & sister. He loved eating and didn’t mind trying new types of food. He had a love for hamburgers and was always eating all kinds of fresh fruit. His favorite color was red. He enjoyed playing his video games, but he was a kid who participated in several sports such as football with the Circle A Youth Football Association in Angleton, TX, and played a little baseball also. His favorite sport was basketball where he played with the Angleton Youth Basketball Association and how he spent most of his spare time. He didn’t mind doing or helping with yard work, but he took a great interest in
learning about, feeding, and riding the horses with his beloved and favorite big cousin, Lawerence “Cedric” Cooks. To truly know Justin “JJ” was to love him!!! Justin is preceded in death by his father, Justin Hardeway Sr. his maternal grandfather, Odell Davis Sr, great-grandparents, Frank & Georgia Cooks, his paternal great-grandmother, Hazel Franklin, paternal great-grandfather,

Johnnie Hardeway, his great uncles Ronnie Hardeway, Kirk Hardeway, Sr his great-aunt & uncle, Ly’Chelle & Auther Williams. Our beloved Justin “JJ” transitioned on Thursday, July 11, 2024 . He leaves his cherished memories to his devoted mother, Christine Nicole Davis, his sister, Journee Nicole Hardeway, his brothers, Jaylen & Jayden Nichols, his maternal grandmother, Mable Davis, his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Hardeway, and his paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Donnie & Pearl Hardeway, his paternal great-grandmother, Julia Hardeway his uncles, Jarvis Hardeway and Odell Davis Jr, and his aunt, Chantal ”Vet” Cooks, his paternal great-great uncle, Donell Peterson, his great uncles,
