Life’s Journey

Our beautiful Jameka Lachelle Williams, known as “Nu” was born on December 10 th , 1984 in Houston, Tx and entered the kingdom of heaven on November 10 th 2023. Jameka was genuinely and fiercely loved by her parents, Jimmy and Angela Steptoe Williams. She will always remain the brightest light in their lives as she lives now in their hearts. Jameka graduated from Alphonso Crutch High school, class of 2003. After high school, she continued her education at Texas Southern University and studied Education. Jameka was a current employee for Cigna Health Care as a Quality Assurance Manager. She was a fashionista and all-around Diva. Jameka was a caring, loving and devoted mother. Her children were her world and she loved them wholeheartedly. Jameka enjoyed dancing, singing, shopping, family night, eating and dressing Kaileigh in the cutest clothing. She most definitely enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her mother. Jameka absolutely enjoyed her siblings and each one of their special bond.

Jameka was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Carolyn Steptoe and uncle Michael Winfield. Paternal grandparents, Elihue and Alice Williams. She is survived by her loving parents, Jimmy and Angela Steptoe Williams. Her beautiful children, Jayden, Amiriyah, Cambria and Kaileigh. Her loving siblings, Jamail, Adrion, Jamarcus, Jaterra, Janiqua and grandfather Johnnie Steptoe. Her God Mother Cynthia Culbreath, God son Aycen Landry. A Host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and friends. She was genuinely loved by many family members and friends.
